"Change/s" does it really happen?

I've been thinking to quite an extent on this one..."does a person change as such?"

From what I've experienced in life, certain behaviours are learned and others are expressed through the change in environment (externally) and/or with respect to the person's current situation.

Here's an example.

Have you ever met somebody back from school who was plain bad? Smoking, causing disruption in class, had fights at school and perhaps bullied you or someone you knew?
I'm very certain many of you, including myself, has memories of at least a few.

Fast forward a few years (in SOME cases) that bad ass has turned out to be a father...with a job...living in an alright apartment and gorgeous girlfriend/partner.

"How did that happen!?" will play through most of our minds...and I think i've got an explanation for the phenomenon.
Every human born, no matter where you're from is not naturally bad. It is your environment that shapes you to be the way you are in order to survive. If home environment is rough...then you become tough...maybe even the bad ass mentality helps your survival.

Being that way is the only way you know so that part of you is always expressed first.

Then one day, he meets a girl that blows him away...he appears to change...a more gentle and thoughtful person appears.

Nope!!!! Disagree!!! NO human changes, we express different parts of ourselves in front of different people and environment.

The gentler side was always within him.

My theory is that, good friends, a loving partner and the ideal environment will allow the good part of anyone to be expressed.
It will look like a change has happened but I can assure you, put that same person back in the bad environment...he or she will express survival mode.

Well... It's been a few years since my last update, and quite a bit has transpired. Since January 2020, our journey has seen the national lockdown in March/April 2020, during which Maki and Ramen held strong. In 2021, Maki and Ramen secured a prime spot in the new St. James Quarters, with yours truly being crowned Branch Manager of that flagship establishment. I put in the hard yards, but there were some twists and turns. My employer, Teddy, scheduled two events specifically on my days off, both with a hefty 50% discount. This turned my peaceful days into utter chaos for my staff. The audacity was that Teddy tried to pin the disarray on my supposed lack of organization. Fortunately, I'm not one to shy away from transparency. My work orders from the higher-ups were an open book, with both the Head of Kitchen and Head of Sushi in the WhatsApp group chats, privy to all the event planning for my branch. While we knew an event was on the horizon, the specifics were conspicuously abs...

Just ranting!

WHO THE HELL GAVE THAT WOMAN THE "BIRTH RIGHT" TO HAVE ME TAXI HER AROUND AND EXPECT ME TO JUST AGREE?!?!?! SCREW YOU TO HELL AND TO THE NEW AREA WHERE THEY ARE MAKING IT ESPECIALLY FOR YOU YOU STUPID VA***A COW!!!! OK that had to come out, here's the story, throughout this week so far, my employer's wife who is looking after the work place in his absence has used a Chinese curse word on me several times. This curse word itself curses you to basically trip over and bust your face. It sounds lame translated into English but if you are Chinese and know which word I am referring to, then you know my anger, I can take it as a joke every once in a while but when you use that consistently,  you are testing my patients on how long I can withhold from punching that face of yours! So, its 12:46am now in UK, just over 2 hours ago, I was finishing up at work, Lisa (Boss' wife) comes strolling along and says "Hakuren, you busy tomorrow morning? I need a life up t...

Sleepless...

The past few nights has been horrendous for my sleep...mother needs to book flights, she seems unable to get the flights that suits her...,relatives visiting late (i mean after 12am late, while I must be up at 7am latest)... and their constant chatter, with the occasional laughter wake me from my almost deep sleep stage! Yet they always tell me to be more considerate to those who sleep for they have work the next day... At least I've got a night out planned, that's something to look forward to as well as a couple of drinks and meeting new people! Viva Le Weekend!!!
